Visit Staffordshire's 30 Under £30 campaign is back for 2026, rounding up free and low-cost days out to help families make the most of the school holidays without spending a fortune.
What's on offer?
The campaign covers a wide range of activities across the county, including:
- National Memorial Arboretum (near Lichfield) - free entry, play areas, trails and a summer programme including The Art of Remembrance
- Lichfield Cathedral - giant suspended whale sculptures, themed activities and a popular beach
- Stafford Castle - a free Viking event in August with battles and living history displays
- Churnet Valley Railway - free child travel offers during the holidays
- World of Wedgwood - pottery decorating for creative youngsters
- SnowDome, Tamworth - holiday activities including Blizzard Quest and Mermaid and Pirate Pool Parties
- Staffordshire History Centre - a seaside holidays themed exhibition and creative activities
- Adventure Mini Village, Stoke-on-Trent - imaginative role play for younger children
Getting outdoors
For families who prefer the fresh air, the National Forest's new Coal and Canopy Way cycling route is a family-friendly option, and Baggeridge Country Park offers walking trails, play areas and outdoor space.
