Connect to Work is a free service supporting people in Gnosall and across Staffordshire who have a health condition and want help finding the right job. It is delivered by the Growth Company and Support Staffordshire on behalf of Staffordshire County Council.
What support is available?
Advisers work with each person individually to help them explore career options, access training, write applications and prepare for interviews. Support continues after starting work, helping people settle in and deal with any early challenges.
A local success story
Kate from Stafford worked with her adviser Weronika to overcome nerves around interviews and secured a new job. "It increased my confidence," she said. Kate now has bigger ambitions too: "I want to get a mortgage on a house - that's the plan."
How to access the scheme
Many people find out about Connect to Work through a local charity, community group or health service. If your organisation works with people who have health conditions and are looking for employment, you can refer them directly to the programme.
