Free Talk: Uncover Staffordshire Stories in Parish Records

A free lunchtime talk at the Staffordshire History Centre will show you how to use parish registers to trace local people through the centuries.

Parish registers - recording baptisms, marriages and burials - are among the best tools available for researching your family or local history, covering everyone from the wealthiest landowners to the poorest villagers.

The Staffordshire History Centre is hosting a Spotlight Talk titled Exploring Parish Registers, which will dig into the hidden stories found in these local documents and offer practical pointers to help you with your own research.

The talk is part of a series of short lunchtime sessions designed by centre staff to bring the stories behind their displays to life.

Entry is free, no booking is required - just turn up and join the group in the exhibition space. Donations are welcome.
