The award recognises the dedication and hard work of George and Lynne Turner, whose welcoming micropub has become a much-loved part of village life. Since opening, the couple have built a reputation for serving an excellent selection of real ales, creating a friendly atmosphere, and providing a place where both regulars and newcomers feel at home.
Being recognised by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is a significant achievement, reflecting not only the quality of the beer on offer but also the warm hospitality and sense of community that define the pub.
The George & The Dragon has become far more than somewhere to enjoy a pint. It is a social hub where neighbours meet, friendships are formed, and visitors receive a warm Gnosall welcome.
Love Gnosall would like to congratulate George and Lynne on this well-deserved recognition. To be named runner-up in such a respected regional competition is something the whole village can be proud of.
Congratulations, George and Lynne. We wish you continued success and look forward to seeing many more people raising a glass at The George & The Dragon!
