London Northwestern Railway announced at around 6.30am on Wednesday that the line between Crewe and Stafford is blocked due to a lineside issue.
Passengers affected have a couple of options:
- Rail replacement bus services have been ordered
- Ticket acceptance is in place with CrossCountry trains running between Stoke and Birmingham
If you are travelling through Stafford today, allow extra time and check the London Northwestern Railway website or app for the latest updates before you travel.
