18-year-old Gnosall chef launches his own meal prep business

An 18-year-old chef from Gnosall has started his own business, Properly Prep'd, cooking fresh, high-protein meal prep and delivering it free to doorsteps around the village.

Ben trained as a chef at The Acorn, where he worked for over a year. He started Properly Prep'd two weeks ago, because he wanted to work for himself and step away from the long hours of hospitality. He's already cooking around 20 meals a week.

The meals are for anyone with a busy schedule, anyone trying to hit their macros, or anyone who simply doesn't have time to cook. Ben buys his meat from Best Meats UK and his produce from Newport's markets. Every meal is labelled with its calories and protein.

Customers' favourite so far is the Rasta Pasta, though Ben's own pick is the BBQ Mince Bowl.

Ordering is now online at https://properly-prepd.com. Customers choose their meals by Sunday at 6:30pm, and Ben delivers on Monday or Tuesday evening between 4pm and 9pm. Customers can mix and match any meals, and the more they order, the less each meal costs:

- 1 meal: £6.50

- 3 meals: £17.50

- 5 meals: £28.50

- 10 meals: £55 (£5.50 a meal)

Delivery is free, and new customers get 5% off their first order. Regulars can set up a weekly plan and skip or cancel online at any time.

Ben said the new website has "brought organisation to a whole new level". He plans to grow the delivery area and add three new seasonal specials each week.

His message to Gnosall: "Keep your eyes peeled and help out a local lad."

The website was designed and built by Ollie Bundy, a local web developer from Gnosall, through his business KaiForgeDigital https://kaiforge.digital.
