The independent shop, which opened in November 2024 in the former Co-op building, has been recognised for its personal service, specialist advice and community spirit.
Announcing the win on social media, Daisy's Dog Stop owner Felicity Jones said: "Can you believe your small local pet shop is officially the best in the West Midlands? We are so grateful to all our customers and everyone that voted. Your continued support is truly what keeps us going."
Daisy's Dog Stop stocks food, toys, bedding and accessories for dogs of all sizes, and has a dedicated coat and harness room complete with a sofa so owners can sit back while staff find the right fit for their dog. The team brings more than 15 years of pet industry experience to the role.
The shop has also built a reputation for helping owners whose dogs suffer from allergies, drawing on personal experience to recommend unusual protein sources and avoid common triggers.
More than just a pet shop
My Local Awards noted the shop's wider contribution to the village, including charity afternoons and stocking products from local makers. The team said the award recognises "the heart, graft and community spirit" behind the business.
